Spacious Garden: While staying at this charming historic cottage, I felt like royalty strolling through the expansive garden. With its lush greenery and picturesque views, it was like having my own private oasis. I savored my morning coffee amidst the fragrant blooms, feeling like a character from Downton Abbey. The garden truly added a touch of enchantment to my stay.

Winding Staircase: The only drawback was the narrow, winding staircase - a historical quirk that made me feel a bit like a contortionist navigating my way to the upper levels. But hey, I suppose it's all part of the cottage's quirky charm.

The cottage had a lot of charm, being in a building dating from 1705. The garden was a great feature, providing a quiet space to relax after a busy day, and it conveniently led to the car park at the rear. The location was perfect, with easy walking access to the restaurants and bars of the town. Additionally, it served as an ideal base for exploring nearby attractions such as Stonehenge, Bath, and Longleat.

The cottage felt a bit cramped and small, which was expected given its historical nature. The winding staircase was a bit inconvenient.

Loved the charming cottage with its cozy atmosphere and well-equipped kitchen. Perfect location for exploring the area and enjoying evenings in the garden. Highly recommend!

Only negative was feeling like I was in a time machine with the winding staircase. #antiquityoverload

It is also conveniently located within walking distance to restaurants and bars in the area. The cottage itself is beautiful and spacious, providing plenty of room for all guests. The garden is a peaceful retreat to relax after a long day of exploring.

The cottage could benefit from additional lighting in the dining/sitting room area.

The garden at the cottage was an absolute delight! It felt like being transported to a whimsical wonderland, with vibrant flowers and lush greenery. I could almost imagine myself as Alice in Wonderland, wandering and getting lost in the beauty of nature.

    Insufficient lighting.

I recently stayed at a charming historic cottage in the heart of a beautiful town. The cottage's 1705 building added a unique touch to the experience, despite the small and cramped size that was to be expected. Although I wasn't a fan of the winding staircase, the overall atmosphere was absolutely delightful. The garden was a peaceful haven, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Plus, its convenient location allowed for easy access to the town's restaurants and bars. Being just a stone's throw away from popular destinations like Stonehenge, Bath, and Longleat made it an ideal base for exploring the surrounding areas. The cottage itself was spacious enough for my group of four, with ample room for everyone. Only a few minor inconveniences, like the need for more lights in the dining/sitting room and a faulty main light in one of the bedrooms, slightly dampened the experience. The bathroom floor tiles were also a bit slippery when wet. However, these minor issues were easily overlooked compared to the overall enjoyment we had during our stay. I highly recommend this historic family cottage in Frome for its perfect location, cozy ambience, and lovely garden. it's a wonderful place to stay and explore the area.
